Weekly News Round Up

Reception children all joined in with running races using our running track. They all took part well, waited for the signal ready, steady, go and all showed great sportsmanship by joining in and enjoying taking part.

As part of Griffin Sports Festival, we have been orienteering! We listened to and followed instructions really well.

 

Year 1 have enjoyed taking a virtual tour to the Arctic! We talked about how it might feel, and the children thought of some great adjectives to describe it. Cold, snowy, windy, freezing! We made sure we had the right clothing.

 

Magpies have enjoyed Griffin Sports festival! We have measured our jumps and throws, learnt new ball skills and enjoyed taking part in a handball competition.  Lots of fun and smiles.

 

Year 3 enjoyed taking part in orienteering and archery amongst other sports as part of our Griffin Sports Festival.  They all enjoyed the activities and showed great teamwork.

 

 

Today year 4 did some orienteering in forest school as part of the Griffin Sports Festival. They drew their own maps of the area and then had to find key items in forest school to add to their maps. They had lots of fun!

 

 

 

 

 

Year 6 enjoyed going on the field and taking part in a Boccia tournament for Griffin Sports Festival 2020.  They all had a great time and showed fantastic teamwork.

 

 

The Year 6 children did an amazing job creating their own maps of the Perry Wood School site today. Well done everyone!
