At Perry Wood we provide a high standard of care for 2-3 year olds in our newly refurbished facility, ‘The Nest’. The Nest provides a stimulating and nurturing environment to develop your child’s love of learning and exploring. The Nest is managed by fully qualified teachers and highly skilled support staff and is open 50 weeks a year from 8.45am – 3.30pm.
Learning in the NEST currently follows the Early Years Foundation Stage document and teaches the seven areas of the curriculum.
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication and language
- Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
- Understanding of the world
- Physical development
- Expressive arts and design
Times of Sessions
To try and be as flexible as possible, the NEST offers 3 different sessions.
Morning session: 8:45 – 11:45am
Dinner session: 11:45 – 12:30pm
Afternoon session: 12:30 – 3:30pm
The NEST provides funded and fee paying sessions for 2 and 3 year old children. Your child’s 15 hours of funded sessions can be used in the morning or afternoon and we try to tailor this to the needs of the child and parent.
