The “Make Hay” Festival has been an absolute game-changer for Perry Wood Primary! It’s not every day a school gets to pitch a massive outdoor marquee and host its very own mini-Glastonbury of arts and literature, but our Griffins threw themselves into it with pure joy. Having over 300 griffins brainstorming with real-life authors, making music with professional musicians, and letting their imaginations run completely wild brought a whole new level of energy to the school.
The absolute highlight? Watching the griffin’s confidence skyrocket. From co-writing a massive whole-school song to proudly standing up and sharing their own stories at the final showcase, the nerves completely melted away into pure pride. It did more than just teach them about the arts; it showed them how powerful their own voices are, leaving everyone, teachers, parents, and griffins alike, buzzing with inspiration long after the marquee came down.
