Some Reception and Year 6 Griffins attended the Hay-on-Wye reading festival yesterday. The year 6 Griffins listened to two authors: MJ Leonard and Jeff Kinny (Author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series). They were fortunate enough to meet them in person and even got their books signed! Jasmine said it was the best day ever and Dillon couldnāt get over meeting his idol- Jeff Kinney.
Our Reception Griffins took part in book related crafts in the morning and then did a poetry and rap session with author Simon Mole (who wrote Dinosaurs). They also participated in a drawing session with illustrator, Dapa Adeola.
A wonderful Wide Horizons opportunity for our Griffins!
