Welcome to Perry Wood Primary and Nursery School, our mission is ‘Roots to Grow. Wings to Fly’.

We strive to build strong links between home and school so that we can work together for the benefit of our children to grow in to responsible adults with an understanding of the communities and world in which they live. We are a richly diverse community, and pride ourselves on our inclusive practice.

We are proud members of the Griffin Schools Trust, a family of schools and a supportive network of expertise. The Trust operates within the three pillars of Wide Horizons, Proud Traditions and High Achievement, we use these to progress rapidly on our journey to Great. We are a Values school. Children selected the 11 values that underpin all aspects of school life.

We have high expectations of our children and work as a team to offer a range of opportunities. We value every child for their own uniqueness and explore the many talents they may possess and celebrate these talents through a creative, inspiring curriculum providing children with aspirational ideas for their futures.

We are an extended school provider, offering children a wide range of after school clubs with a variety of activities each week. There is something for everyone!

Our children are polite, friendly and well-behaved. They are encouraged to take responsibility for the development of their school through the school parliament, and Year 6 have the opportunity to take on more high profile roles such as Head Boy and Girl.

Our school has a rich learning environment that is welcoming and stimulating, with specialist learning areas, such as Libraries, forest areas and a full sized performance stage.

Our school is more than just an educational establishment. It is a place which offers children the stability and enrichment that they need to become the unique individuals that they were created to be. We believe that we provide an ethos where children learn effectively and develop into well round and responsible citizens.
