Today children celebrated the festival of reading. All children and adults came to school in their pjamas. The year 6 Pupils leadership team sold 2nd hand books to families. The author Angela James completed virtual workshops with every class. Each year groups went and shared a book with a child in a different year group.
A competition ran all week where children had to send in photographs and videos of some extreme reading; children were seen reading in the shower, in the park, in a Christmas tree and on a zip line. Winners were selected and were able to choose a book from our book vending machine.
What a wonderful day we all had.
