Roll Up, Roll Up!
This half term Year 2 have been learning about the experiences of the funfair both past and present. Through historical study, pupils have made comparisons between funfairs, with a special focus given to the famous frost fair of 1814, which took place on the frozen waters of the River Thames. We started the half term by experiencing a Frost Fair, the children played old fashioned games and had hot chocolate and gingerbread men. Everything we learned throughout the theme helped set up our very own present-day funfair! The Year 2 team worked together to create a funfair with stalls selling food, drink and games. Together we raised over Ā£380 which will be going towards one of our trips!
