The children in Year 6 took part in an exciting workshop this morning which was led by the The Royal Opera House in London. The children were able to meet ballet dancers and see them perform different motifs and sequences from their productions of Romeo and Juliet, Alice in Wonderland and The Nutcracker. The children also learnt some of the motifs themselves. Here are a few of the children’s thoughts about the experience:
“I found it interesting to watch the sword fight and see how it is cleverly choreographed.” Saumika
“It was great to see how they all work as a team to create a dance for Alice in Wonderland.” Annalise
“I loved the Nutcracker and how the ballet told a detailed story – they explained it clearly for us to understand it.”
